Anyone who knows ‘The Barrier’ knows just how unique it is. And Sven is a true islander, with a down-to-earth honesty, enthusiasm and local knowledge that were key to the brand’s character. So, when we set about preparing his unique range of products for an international push, we knew we had to protect what made it different to loads of other personal care products.
The solution we hit on used images of the natural ingredients along with distinctive product names and descriptions that explain the benefits. With a hand-crafted quality to the type it is the perfect fit with Sven’s handmade artisan products, while modernised branding gave a more premium feel. Gentle colour coding added charm and coherence. Finally, whimsical illustrations help tell the story of the eccentric lengths Sven will go to when sourcing these unique, natural NZ ingredients on his remote island home.
In an overall personal care market that’s exceptionally crowded, Sven’s stands out as something genuinely different, and the new look has delivered strongly in terms of new listings and sales.
