Brother Design & Foodstuffs Scoop Global Private Label Awards


Our Pams packaging designs for Foodstuffs have received four category-topping gold medals and taken out the Best in Show at the recent Vertex Awards for private brand retail packaging design.

Judged by a panel of experts from around the world, the Vertex Awards are the only international awards devoted exclusively to packaging design for private brand product ranges.

The brands or private labels entered are those owned by large retail groups ranging from supermarkets to pet care chains and even hardware stores. This year’s inaugural awards had entries from all over the world. Designs were entered representing global retail giants such as Tescos, Asda, Woolworths and Safeway.

Refreshed by Brother last year, designs on the flour packaging capture a sense of baking nostalgia with familiar baking icons including gloves, apron and weighing scales.

Other ranges awarded gold and topping their categories included Pams milk, cream and butter in the Fresh Category, Pams premium ice cream in Frozen and Pams baby range categorised as Body Care, all of which were designed by Brother’s team.

Foodstuffs' National Private Label Manager, Jocelyn McCallum was thrilled with the results: "Brother Design has been great to work with, they understand our business needs in creating attractive and effective designs which hit the mark.
